Terms of Service
Version 2026-11-01 · Effective 1 November 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Wedding Steward (“we”, “us”), including the planning tools, the public wedding websites we host, and related emails. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to create an account. You agree to give accurate information, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by collaborators you invite.
3. Your guests' information
When you add guests, collect RSVPs or send emails, you decide what personal information is collected and why. For data-protection purposes you are the controller of your guests' data and we process it on your behalf, only to provide the service. You confirm that you have a lawful basis to share your guests' details with us and to contact them, and that you will respect their requests (for example to unsubscribe or have their details removed).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wedding Steward to:
- break any law or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
- send spam or unsolicited messages to people who are not your guests;
- upload unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or malicious content;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- resell the service or use it to build a competing product.
5. Your content and our licence
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and process that content only as needed to run the service for you, including showing your wedding website to the people you share it with. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for routine backups that expire on their normal schedule. You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload.
Suggestions produced by Ivy, our AI assistant, are provided for convenience. Check them before relying on them.
6. Plans, subscriptions and auto-renewal
We offer the following plans (prices in USD, excluding any applicable taxes):
- Free: no charge, with limits (for example up to 50 guests, 50 gallery photos and 10 Ivy messages a month).
- Premium: $9.99 per month or $79 per year, with higher or no limits.
- Anniversary: $12 per year, for after your wedding.
Current limits are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, charged to your saved payment method, until you cancel. We will give you reasonable notice before any price change applies to your renewal. Weddings created before paid plans launched keep Premium at no charge as described in the Refund Policy.
7. The Anniversary plan
Anniversary keeps your wedding website online after the big day. Your guest list and photo gallery become read-only: existing information stays visible, but you can't add guests, upload photos, send campaigns or use Ivy. You can move back to Premium at any time to make changes.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Paid features stay available until the end of the period you have paid for, after which your wedding moves to the Free plan (content beyond Free limits is kept but may become read-only). Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
9. Data export and deletion
You can download a copy of your data at any time from Settings → Download my data. You can also delete your account from Settings. Deletion has a 7-day grace period during which you can change your mind; after that your wedding, guests and uploads are permanently deleted, apart from limited records we must keep by law (for example billing records) and backups that expire on their normal schedule.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms, puts others at risk, or where required by law. Where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and export your data. If we stop offering the service we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
11. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Wedding Steward reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for vendors, venues or other third parties you find or manage through it. Keep your own copy of anything critical to your day.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your handling of your guests' information, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction], and disputes will be resolved in its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
15. Changes to these terms
These Terms are versioned; the current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page. If we make material changes we will tell you in advance and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. If you don't agree, you can cancel and export your data.
